chateau theme does NOT show current post in summary format on home page

  chateau theme shows current blog post in detail format on home page. Is there setting to show current post in summary format on home page? Or, can you suggest another theme to use if chateau theme cannot do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Of course.
  You can use
  a) the more tag
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  b) excerpts

  Depending on the theme you have activated, excerpts you assign may be displayed on your homepage, RSS feed, or archives page. Your theme will also determine whether or not your excerpt is followed by a link that points readers to the full-length post.
