Chateau Theme – moving Likes and comments to under post

Chateau theme – can I move the like buttons and comments area to immediately below the post so people don’t have to go looking for It. With the Chateau theme you have to go in via the the comments button at top of the post to leave a comment and or like the post. It seems we are not getting many likes on the posts because people don’t know where to look. They are reading the post but then leaving the page without liking or commenting cause it is too hard to find. Can we make it easier for the reader. Thank you. Melinda

Hi Melinda, the position of the comment link and sharing/like buttons in a theme are generally fixed and aren’t elements that can be moved on WordPress.com.
You might like to check out the theme directory to see if there’s another theme that display these elements in a way you prefer. If I can be of any help choosing a different theme, just let me know.

thank you so much for your reply. After I sent this request I started having a longer look into the back end of the blog. I found that an options under Settings – Sharing – Show on front page, archives… had not been clicked. Once I did this the Sharing buttons all appeared at the bottom of the post up front instead of being hidden behind in the Comments section. I also noticed that once I ‘liked’ a post a little message came up saying … ‘comment on this post’. This is great because it means it invites folks to go straight to the comments section instead of going back up to the top of the post and clicking on the ‘leave a comment’ button position there. All in all I think it is ok for now. My partner is happy with it (it’s his blog). I certainly appreciate your offer to help find another theme. It’s nice to know you would go to that effort.
