Checking uploaded files before publishing.
-
Hi there. Before creating an own WordPress (premium or business) I would like to ask a question. We want researchers and scholars worldwide to be able to download different type of files (xml, pfd, txt, audiofiles) from the website (language annotations). In addition, we want those same people to be able to upload such files to the website. However, ‘after’ uploading we (administrators of the website) want to be able to check those files first and verify their quality before putting them online. Does WordPress provide such a feature/tool that would allow others to upload files and us to check them before publishing? Thanks in advance.
(Note: the attached wordpress website has nothing to do with this question)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Readers can’t upload files to a WordPress.com site. Only users added by the site admin (i.e. with access to the site’s dashboard) are able to upload files to the site.
It sounds like you rather want a database where users can register themselves and upload content. For something like that you’ll need a self-hosted site using WordPress.org, where you can install the plugins necessary for this type of functionality.
For more info on WordPress.org, see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
