Child of parent page lost when editing in quick edit view
-
I have a page:
If I edit this page in the quick edit view, its previously-set relationship to its parent (/hub) gets lost. To fix it, I have to go into wp-admin > pages > the page, and recreate the relationship to its parent.
Every time the relationship breaks, the automatic inclusion of its preview in the parent page (/hub) gets lost. (I use a theme where I can include child page preview cards on parent pages.)
I think this is a bug. I don’t know if it would happen if the parent of the page in question was the home page and not a child of the home page. But I do know that it’s happening regularly. It may be a bug specific to the quick edit view (which doesn’t allow a user to check or change page relationships); or it might be affecting the wp-admin edit page view as well (I haven’t tested).
Thanks.

Hi,
If I edit this page in the quick edit view, its previously-set relationship to its parent (/hub) gets lost. To fix it, I have to go into wp-admin > pages > the page, and recreate the relationship to its parent.
I was unable to duplicate this result in a couple of different sites, with two different themes activated, including the Edin theme (which you presently have activated).
In my tests, at Quick Edit the previously set parent page remained at its setting if I made edits elsewhere and then updated. I also got the expected results when I changed the parent page at Quick Edit and updated, and when I changed back to the previous setting and updated.
