Child page grid 'excerpt' display in Venture theme

  I looked for ages for a theme that worked for me
  Venture worked well
  I wanted to use child page grid’s to use a single page to link from a topic to other subtopics, like a book with chapters
  The grid shows the child page title, but not the excerpt, which would be really useful
  The excerpts show up for the front page template grid
  Could I get css code to make them appear on all grid pages
