child pages

I have created two child pages for the parent page (● cats) on my website (https://a-simpler-life.co.uk), except only one of the sub-menu pages is showing (● cats in Spain). Everything seems to be in order, page attributes as they should be, the only thing I can see missing is in Editor/ Navigation, no CUSTOM LINK showing in the left-hand menu. Anyone explain what is wrong?

I HAVE SOLVED IT. Went to Editor again and found a list of pages, this time on the right-hand side, with an ADD BLOCK feature. Wow, this TWENTY TWENTY THREE theme takes a lot of learning. It needs a complete novice to simplify everything, overly complicated.

Am I being totally dim, but as it is set up now when you click on the PARENT page nothing happens, so the PARENT page is basically just a heading for the MENU, whether it has content is irrelevant. When I discovered this I had to copy the content to the sub-pages to make it visible.

  • Hi there!

I am happy to hear that you figured it out! And sorry to hear that you found it difficult. Here is our guide on that: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/page-options/

Generally, it may be helpful to check https://wordpress.com/support/site-editing/ to understand the new themes a bit better.

What are the other goals for the site? I noticed that there is a lot of interesting content on the off-the-grid topic. Have you considered monetizing it? For example, you could use the Premium Content block or sell an ebook using Payments block?
