Child theme Major issues when updating page

    Hello, I am updating a wordpress site for an important client and he needed me to add a link into the press page at

    http://www.fancyfranks.com/press

    I have made a bunch of changes using a child theme but when I add a link in the pages section on wordpress and preview its fine but when I update it messes everything up and now I can’t get all my changes in the child page to show up. I fixed it once before by playing with the page template under attributes right now but now its messed up. I need some quick help on this as its a very important client and I cant seem to figure this out.
