Chinese word count problem

  There is probably a problem with traditional Chinese word count. I have typed more than 600 but it still says just less than 100. The wordcount error thus affect the <<more>> tag at homepage… now its a full length article rather than an excerpt.

  I checked with another English post and the exerpt works… Could anyone tell me how to make WordPress count traditional Chinese properly?
