  While plugins are common on self hosted WordPress sites, due to security concerns, they are not available on WordPress.com. There is more info regarding WordPress.com and plugins here:

  Note also – you can’t sell your own ads or use a third party ad service – your site will be suspended if you try

  You can signup for WordAds since you have a custom domain name – WordAds is a revenue sharing program

  Thank you for the information. I signed up for WordAds. I would guess there is no way to transfer my website to WordPress.org at this point, right?
