"Choco" and a Special Menu that won't get fixed
-
Blog is at: http://peregrine5700.wordpress.com
I just switched to a new theme, Choco.PROBLEM: Up there at top of Home Page, I used to have only two tabs: Home and Blog Roadmap. Clicking onto that Blog Roadmap link yielded up a bunch of links.
With Choco, I have all of those links lined up horizontally at the top of the page, along with HOME and BLOG ROADMAP.
I went to Dashboard > Menus and I saw on that Pages organizer list that some pages were nestled (indented) under Blog Roadmap and other pages were not indented but at the same margin line as Blog Roadmap (and, or course, with Home).
I figured that if I indented all of those pages under Blog Roadmap, that they would all be hiding there, and that if Blog Roadmap were clicked by a visitor, then all of the pages would be shown. So I indented all those pages.
I clicked Save and went to check the Home Page, where I saw that there had been no changes at all. All of those pages are still there scattered at the top, not nestled and hidden under Blog Roadmap.
What must I do, other than what I did, to get only two tabs showing (the HOME and the BLOG ROADMAP)?
*** I have been away from this blog for several months and see that much of what I knew, I have now forgotten. With time it’ll come back (I hope), but meanwhile, I haven’t a clue how to fix this.
Can someone clear this up for me?

In the “theme location” module at top left on the custom menu page, did you select your custom menu from the “primary location” pulldown and then save?
-
You have to edit you rmenus.
dash: right colum–> appearance–> menus
give your menu a name (example menu) and add pages.
you can shift pages over underneath another to make that parent child drop down
your would look like
HOME
BLOG ROADMAP
EMAIL
next page
next page again.when you finish remember to put your custom menus name in “Theme Location”.
-
that didn’t post right on th forum page:
we shall try again
`
HOMEBLOG ROADMAP
EMAIL
next page
next page again.` -
last time:
Home
Blog Road Map
() Email
() next page
() another pageUse the drag and drop to slightly move the child pages to the right under the parent.

Dear Sacred Path: Aha. I had not selected /toggled to my primary menu. I thought that since I saw it named above all of those Pages, that all was complete. I did not look at that toggle choice of which menu.
Anyhow, I toggled to the name that was already toggled to above the Pages, and all is now just fine. All of the pages are under Blog Road Map.
Dear Diager: Thank you for helping too. Your little list made me realize that I should have put the Contact tab separate, so that I would have THREE tabs at the top rather than just two: Home, Email/Contact, and Blog Roadmap.
Thank Diager and Sacred Path. Your help is much appreciated.
