"Choose a site" drop-down menu empty
-
Hi, guys-
Right now I’m trying to buy and activate the MH Magazine theme (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/mh-magazine/) at my website, but after I click “Buy and Activate,” the drop-down menu that SHOULD allow me to select the site I want to install it at (right now my only site) is completely empty.
I have the site hosted at Bluehost, so is there some issue with installing themes directly from WordPress.com to an external host? If so, what’s the best way of getting the theme from the WordPress store, and then installing it via the back-end? The theme is being sold on CreativeMarket, so I could buy it there, but would rather not, for a complicated set of reasons.
All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’re in the wrong place. I don’t think you can buy a theme for a self-hosted blog here at wordpress.com. Because of this and because you don’t have a website here, the drop-down will be empty. You’ll have to buy it from Creative Markets.

Hmm. Okay, I kind of suspected that was the case. I can understand there being no “Buy and activate” option for a self-hosted site, but why not allow a simple download of the theme so I can install it. Odd.
Anyway, thanks.

You cannot purchase any theme that’s here http://wordpress.com/themes/ for use on any site other than on a WordPress.com blog.

@Timethief – Do you mean “cannot purchase” here or anywhere? Surely MH Magazine is compatible with sites hosted elsewhere.

You cannot purchase it here. However, you can contact theme designer directly and pay the price they set for the WordPress.ORG version of the theme, right?
