choosing a name

    I already have a couple of blogs on wordpress but have to say when it comes to publishing a new blog I am finding the site a bit irritating at the moment for this reason: Every name I have tried is already taken, fair enough, but when you actually go to the blog with the name you wanted, it does not exist. I had everything ready to load up to a new blog and have not got past the “giving it a name” part as every name I had ready is not available. Are people just “buying” up blog names with no intention of using them?

    As the blogs here are free blogs that last sentence doesn’t jive but I do get what you mean. There are trolls everywhere on the interent so this could be happening. I own domains for my blogs as they provide increased credibility and flexibility if I choose to move them to another web host in the future. If you purchase a domain name via a domain mapping upgrade then it won’t matter what the URL of the underlying .wordpress.com blo is.
