Choosing a plan

    Hi there,

    I am looking to possibly upgrade my plan to a business account, however I just wanted to check that I will be able to have a few functions.

    I am looking to install the WooCommerce plugin in order to sell products on my website, however I am wondering if I need the eCommerce plan to do that? Or is the business plan sufficient?

    Any advice on this matter would be appreciated.

    Hi there, happy to clarify.

    With the Business Plan you can upload any theme or plugin designed for WordPress. This includes WooCommerce, so yes you can install WooCommerce under the Business Plan, and we have many site owners that do just that.

    The WordPress.com eCommerce Plan includes all the features of the Business Plan, but adds to that tools and extensions that are a big help if you have a high volume eCommerce site with international purchasing and shipping.     If you are just starting out with an eCommerce site, the WordPress.com eCommerce Plan may be more than you need so I think starting with the Business plan makes sense. Hope this helps!
