choosing a template

I was interested in purchasing the funki template and I have a few questions about it. I wanted to model my blog after http://thebloggess.com/. I want a sidebar on either side with my blog running in the text area down the center just like this blog. I am new to wordpress. Is it possible to do this with the funki template? Can I add a sidebar on either side? Also, I wanted to know if I can use a solid background with this template instead of a pattern. Thanks!

Yes, the theme does offer a 3 column layout (sidebar/content/sidebar) as an option. All you have to do is add widgets to either the left or right sidebar area, for one or the other to appear. Add widgets to both, and they both appear.
Also, I wanted to know if I can use a solid background with this template instead of a pattern.
No problem. Just go to Appearance>Customize in your site’s Admin Dashboard, and that will launch the Customizer, which has te option to set any background you like. :)

I actually wanted my blog to have the exact same layout as http://www.thebloggess.com (which is a wordpress blog). I want the same kind of sidebars on either side where I can post graphics, links, and text. How do I go about getting my blog like this? Do I need a professional to set it up for me? If so, I would appreciate it if you could recommend someone, I am willing to pay to have this done. Thanks!
