choosing a theme

  Hi! I can not choose a theme for my blog, It says unable to activate theme. Can you help me please?

  Hi there,

  The website you’ve posted is using the open-source WordPress.org and is hosted with Bluehost; this forum is for the hosted WordPress.com platform. They’re very similar, but two separate things.

  @lindarockinthefreeworld, as @ericfri mentioned, you’d want to use the correct resources for your free WordPress software:
  https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/#word-press-org-support

  One quick suggestion on this, though, as we have sometimes seen “Unable to Activate Theme” here as well: If your theme requires the Gutenberg plugin, please be sure that is installed, active, and up to date.

  You can find the Gutenberg plugin on your plugins page; just add new and activate:

  Gutenberg

  Be sure your WordPress installation is up to date as well. Some of the newer themes rely on those and they won’t activate properly without some support, and that will likely resolve this error.

  And as always when you’re managing your own installation of WordPress, please be sure you’ve got backups in place before major changes.
