Choosing a theme

Hi all, I am new at this (not blogging, this new age of blogging) and I have a simple question; there are tons of themes to choose from (lucky I can only afford the freebies) can anyone suggest one that makes a good writing portfolio and artist portfolio? Can you use more then one?

In particular you might like to look at Illustratr, Blask, Espied, or Sketch.

I am impressed several obvious answers to a question I didn’t even ask and nothing to do with what I asked! Useless.
Just for the record I have already looked through every single free theme, just as I indicated in my post. I was asking for suggestions, not links. -
There is no FTP access and no blogger installed custom or third party theme capability on blogs hosted by wordpress.COM.

If they do not suit you you can hire a web host http://wordpress.ORG and set up your own wordpress.ORG software install and use other themes.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Hello everyone,
I’m not sure if I am here right but I have some problems customizing my themes – especially those free ones. Whenever I chose one it never looks like that with my content. And that is depressing…How to? I’ve read so many things, but nothing would help.
Are they really free?Thanks a lot.

nastasjazed – I’d love to help you with this. When you start a new thread as timethief suggested, could you please tell me which theme you need help with and where you’re getting stuck with the setup? A link to your site would be helfpul as well.
