Choosing a web host… any advice welcome

    Hi there,

    I’m pretty sure that i’m going to taking the plunge soon and upgrading to a WordPress.org site. Before I do I wandered if anyone had any recommendations for a Web Host.

    I host Mp3’s, videos and hi-res images on my site so want a host that won’t cost an arm and a leg for bandwidth if my site gets very busy.

    Both Dreamhost and Bluehost offer unlimited bandwidth and storage shared hosting packages and I have clients on both and they seem to be reliable and the few times I’ve had to get technical support from them I’ve been pleased. Their prices are competitive.

    Personally for my own sites I use A Small Orange, but they don’t offer any unlimited packages. For standard blogging and such, their Tiny or Small shared hosting plans work very well and I’ve been extremely happy with them and can recommend them highly. At $25 per year, their Tiny package is about the best deal around, but it would not likely do for what you are going to be doing.
