Choosing image for social media pubicizing
-
I have my blog i90project.com set to publicize on facebook, google+, and twitter upon publishing. I would like the thumbnail to be the main photograph in each post, but it keeps grabbing the second image. I cannot solve this by turning on the feature image because I do not want the feature images showing in my feed. Is there a way to indicate which image to use in the links publicized on the social media? It is very important for the project.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Angel,
Unfortunately the only way which we have to ensure that the image that you want is going to be published as the thumbnail to social media is through the Featured Image.
The only alternative I can think of is to attach the image which you want as a Featured Image, and then once you have published it via Publicize, you could then remove the Featured Image from your post and then update the post. The post will have already been pushed out to all social media, who will have the image cached, however it will not actually be attached to your post any longer.
It should be noted however that some feed readers can also cache images, so this may not work how you would like it. You will want to experiment before committing to it as a solution.
