Choosing permalink image
-
I usually write articles with few text and a lot of images. I have the triton lite theme. The site is http://www.mostarchitetti.com.
I always rename all the image files (before uploading them) in the order I want them to appear in the article. For instance “A-01”, “A-02”, “A-03” and so on. I want the first image to be displayed as the permalink image in the home page. Usually this happen, but sometimes the permalink image shown is another one (chosen by worpress system without any evident reason). How can I correct this? How can I choose, among all the images i insert in an article, the one i want to be displayed in the permalink? Thanks in advance. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! Can you point me an example post that has the wrong image, and can you also indicate which image should be the correct one?

Hi, thank you for the answer. I’ll give you two examples.
In this article http://mostarchitetti.com/2012/11/30/chiarano/ the image showed as permalink is the fith (named “g015_3a.jpg”) instead of the first one (named “g015_1a.jpg”).
Here http://mostarchitetti.com/2012/10/15/bibione/ the permalink image is the fourth (named “t016_d.jpg”) instead of the first again (named “t016_a.jpg”). -
Perfect, thank you for your example.
The way this theme works is that if there is no Featured Image set, it takes the first image that was attached to the post and uses that one. That means that if you modify the post, or if you attach an image after the fact, it won’t necessarily take the first image that it finds in the content of the post.
Try using Featured Images instead to always specifically define the image you want on the front page of your site, and I suspect that you’ll have better results that way. Let me know if that works for you!

It works perfectly, thank you so much!
Before I never used Featured image, since I thought this would change my header image, but in fact it does not.
