Choosing post formats when emailing

  I would like to be able to choose post format when posting by email. The same way you can assign categories and tags to your post.

  Also, post titles in aside and status posts should be truly optional. Now they aren’t.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Agree 100% on all counts!! I’ve also wanted the same “choose format option” for EMAIL blogging.

  Re: Asides & Status posts (P2 Theme for me) imho they most definitely need “proper” Titles. I set the DEFAULT post format as STANDARD in P2 for that very reason, but it does not “hold,” & continues to post everything as a “Status.” In Status mode it slaps entire sentences in the Title area & I have to then go fix them all… which defeats the purpose of a “quick-use” activity stream theme.
