Choosing the Posts on my Front Page

I have the Themefoundry Portfolio Theme. I have set it to operate somewhat like a Website. I have removed the sidebar feature from my pages & posts. I am wanting – and wondering if it is possible…to “select” the posts I prefer to show on my from page. This theme shows the 3 most “recent” – if I were to get the “Top Posts & Pages” Widget would that allow me to be selective on the Front Page – or is that only with a sidebar and setting up a special posts page? I do not wish to make it a static page – I wish to be able to choose the posts that show on that front page Thanks for any help!

Hello there, You can adjust the three images on the front page of your site by utilizing the “portfolio items” setting in your posts. Here is a link to the support document for the Portfolio theme that will assist you in configuring that:

You should scroll down to “Setting Up Your Homepage.”
That document will also describe other features that come with the theme.

Hi! I read the “Setting Up Your Homepage” section when I first got the Theme…and rereading it again now – here is the last thing it says:
“The recent portfolio items are automatically populated using the 3 most recent posts marked as portfolio items.”
You have to mark an item “portfolio” if you want it to be featured and show in the slider – I have all of those the way I want – but when you do that – it automatically places it as one of the 3 most recent – and I feel it is redundant to have two of the same on the front page. I would like to bring in a earlier post/photo that could take people to other material immediately. The quote I indicated above was the last piece of info on the footer items…it gives no indication on how one might choose what post/photos appear there in the footer – is there another way other than un-marking the portfolio box?? – because I would like to keep that one in the slider as my first photo people see – and if I don’t mark it “porfolio” I can’t show it in the slider? any other suggestions? -
Hi again………MY MOST SINCERE APOLOGIES…I just went back and tried un-marking the portfolio box – and as you probably already know – IT WORKED….I was afraid to try it as I did not want to mess anything up and for some reason I remembered back last fall that my experience was such that it removed it out of the slider – I must have been doing something wrong back then…sorry to take up your time with my last response and THANKS SO MUCH for your help!!!
