Choosing the right Theme,

  I need good advice, I did begin to create a blog, found it did not suit me , I need a theme I can customise to suit a political party, I can design most of the content myself , I did purchase WP Software for customising . before deleting the blog/theme. I also want to use my own domain name , and server, also I have a FTP client, ready will install WP on my website.

  If you’re planning to install WordPress on your own host, you might want to look at the themes in the WordPress.org repository:

  You can also ask for help in the WordPress.org themes forum:

  This forum is for folks hosting here on WordPress.com. If you are planning to host here, Motif (free) and Forefront (premium) are just two themes you might want to consider. Each of those themes has self-hosted versions available as well. Motif can be downloaded from the link in the right sidebar, and Forefront can be purchased on Creative Market.
