Choosing which image will post to Facebook
-
While composing a new blog post, I want to pre-set an image which will show later when I share my post to Facebook or Twitter. (I do not mean putting a permanent image on my sidebar) In the past, I was able to do it on the ‘older’ platform. I can be put in Facebook jail if the ‘wrong’ image shows up, which seems to show up pretty randomly. How can *I* be the judge of what appears when I share on FB? Also in the past, while composing the new blog, I was able to write a sentence or two that would appear when I share the blog post. My blogs are https://romancemanlove.wordpress.com and https://caitlinfire.wordpress.com
Both these choices used to show up when I go to the to choose my edit platform. Is there a way I can still do it? This is giving me fits!

Perhaps Facebook has made some recent changes.
We have no control over what is displayed by social l networks like the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
