Choosing which photo from WordPress goes in a Facebook post
-
I want to ensure that the photo I want is the one posted from WordPress to Facebook; I post a lot of explanatory photos with the recipes, but I want the finished product to be the one that is featured on Facebook. This is also usually the one that I put at the top of my post.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We have no control over the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

Hey taralvh,
Yes you can manage which photos will show on your facebook or other social sites. It is very simple to do. Just follow the Steps below:
Step-1: Log in to your Dashboard.
Step-2: Go to Post > All Post and then click Edit. (Or you can add a new post or page).
Step-3: When you edit a post or create a new post, you can see some options on your right side bar. (Categories, Tags, Featured Image…). Click Featured Image.
Step-4: Now choose a photo and click Set Featured Image.
You are all done! When you share your post in social site, the featured image will shows.
Hope this will help you. :)

Thanks for the help. I’d really like to keep the featured image below the title, but maybe it’s my theme that won’t let me do that?

You cannot change how any theme is designed to function on a wordpress.COM hosted site.
We bloggers do not have access to the template files underlying our themes on wordpress.COM hosted blogs and cannot edit them. This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme use the same underlying template found on the live demo site for each theme.
Does Customize let me edit HTML?
No. Customize allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications. You can read more about why here http://support.wordpress.com/code/, and find a suitable host here http://get.wp.com/hosting/.
