  Hi wasn’t sure were to put this.
  I know that wordpress doesn’t allow Java and Flash widgets for Christmas countdowns because of security, so I put up a blog for those who want a Christmas countdown like me.

  you can add a RSS widget to your wordpress.com blog and add the above address and you will get a very simple countdown.

  Could the RSS widget option please have a “show pictures” option please to make this more appealing and a little more fancy.

  Given the way WP.com RSS feeds are configured, it’s very VERY unlikely the RSS widget will be reconfigured to be able to provide what you ask.

  There’s actually nothing stopping you from doing this at Flickr and having people put the feed into the Flickr widget. That should work.

  didn’t think about that one. Thank you.

  but it wouldn’t change automatically from day to day will it. Nuts another idea gone bust.

  I’ll stick to the RSS widget.

  I have seen RSS widgets on other blogger blogs that have thumbnail pictures that is why I asked.

  tried the Flickr thing but the Flickr widget is static not a slideshow. Could have worked wellif it was a slideshow.
