Christopher theme – the date with year can be shown on each post?

    Hi there,

    Does anyone know if this theme allows you to show the date with YEAR on each post?

    In the ideal world, I want to show the date before readers open a post along with the author.

    I LOVE this theme and want to buy this but it is the critical if I cannot show all the date info of each post…

    Hi there. :)

    It’s not possible to change the date format on individual posts with Christopher but I’ve submitted an enhancement request to the theme’s author.

    As it’s quite a big change to make, I can’t make any promises that it’ll be implemented. I’ll let you know what I hear back though.

    You may also wish to consider other magazine style themes that do offer the option of changing the date format. The full date, including the year, is displayed alongside posts on Rosalie and Perle, for example. I encourage you to have a further browse through our repository and filter based on different criteria at the top here:

    Thank you so much for your help. I will wait for the author’s reply then. If it’s too much to ask, I will start considering other themes including your suggestion. I really love the beautiful look of your suggestions but I love Christopher’s custom frontage layout option a lot so…

    Please note, the likelihood of Christopher’s author implementing the option of changing a date format is low but it’s good to keep track of such requests.

    OK, I will start shopping for other theme, then :)

    When you read an online magazine, it’s important for us to know when the article was written. Not every reader enters the website through the front page so you have no clue to know if the article is new or old if there is no year info on the article. I thought it would be nice if we could show the whole date info somewhere somehow on the article. That’s the idea of mine behind the request. Hope my personal though helps somehow:)
