Chrome sais connection not private
-
In the address bar I see a lock with a little triangle. Chrome tells me:
“Lock icon with yellow warning triangle
Google Chrome can see the site’s certificate, but the site uses a weak security setup (SHA-1 signatures), so your connection might not be private.Proceed with caution. These are common mistakes in websites’ configurations, but that doesn’t guarantee that your connection is secure.”
What do I do wrong? My other site (http://raebidus.wordpress.com) does’t have that.
Hope you can help.

Here’s what I see in Chrome43: https://cldup.com/vxChhjPHaq.png
You may be linking an image or other resource that is coming from outside an HTTPS connection. There’s nothing to be concerned about.

@raebidus, if you’d like to know which parts in particular are causing the problem, press Ctrl+Shift+J (in Chrome on a PC). That will open a window which lists all the warnings. In this case it’s a bunch of photobucket images causing the problem. But as @justjennifer noted, it’s not a cause for concern.

@raebidus – At least not as far as security is concerned. :)
Linking to images hosted somewhere else on the web gives away your control over their display. If photobucket goes down or you exceed their limits, your images will not show up on your WordPress.com website.
With 3GB of free space available in your WordPress.com Media Library and with optimizing your images before uploading, you shouldn’t have any problem hosting your images on your site.
Let us know if you need more help with that.

@justjennifer – thanks. I just learned about it myself a few minutes before posting. :-)
