Chrome says "This is probably not the site you are looking for!"
-
My site is at WordPress.com, but I use my own domain name – purchased from a local company here in New Zealand.
When I visit my site using the Chrome browser I get a warning message saying: “This is probably not the site you are looking for!”
Presumably this is because of the way my domain name resolves to billbennettnz.wordpress.com.
I’ve three questions. First, do other people visiting my site see this? If so I guess it must be a huge turn-off.
Second, when I post this topic in the WordPress.com forum (and previous messages) I get an automated message telling me my site isn’t a WordPress.com site.
Third, is there anything I can do about it?

Using my Chrome browser, when I clicked on your link, I did not get the message and your site loaded fine.
Google explains that the reason for that message is: “Google Chrome may show this warning if phishing and malware protection is enabled. It indicates that the URL listed in the website’s certificate doesn’t match the actual URL of the site.”
Are you just using URL forwarding with you current domain name registrar?

Well, you could purchase the domain mapping upgrade from WordPress. It costs $13.00 a year.
Click the Store link on your Dashboard and then choose Domains.
