claim name of deleted wordpress?

  Hey,

  For a new blog I’m setting up I was hoping to use limerence.wordpress.com as my blog name. WordPress tells me the name is being used, but when I visit the website, it says the site’s been deleted. Is there a way the username/blog name could be cleared so that I can use it, seeing as the previous person who used it clearly isn’t using it anymore?

  Hi,
  Unfortunately, that blog can’t be reused. It’s the policy of WordPress.com not to allow blog names to be recycled: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You might try creating a new blog using a variation of the original name.
