Claiming blog at Bloglines.com
-
Bloglines verifies your claim in two steps. We check to find <!– ckey=”XXXX” –> and <!– ukey=”XXXX” –> at the Website URL. Then we look for the presence of <!– ckey=”XXXX” –> and the absence of <!– ukey=”XXXX” –> at the Feed URL. This dual key authentication method verifies that you control both the Website and the Feed and avoids false claims from those who can post but don’t control the Website.
Following the tips suggested here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=13711 I was able to add the Bloglines special markup for the template. I’ve also added the post specific markup.
So now, both of the special markups are visible on my blog when viewing source code. However, there’s still 1 remaining place where it’s not working: the feed.
The special markup added to the individual blog post, doesn’t show up in the RSS description’s CDATA area. This appears to be a WP.com specific issue – they might be stripping out any comments in the description tag.
Does anyone know of a workaround for this?
