Claiming Former Blog Domain Name
-
Hi, I used to have chubsterfeet.wordpress.com as my domain. I deleted my account and now I’ve returned. I am able to log in as chubsterfeet just fine, but I am not able to claim chubsterfeet.wordpress.com again. It’s making me use chubsterfeetblog.wordpress.com when I try to add a WordPress to my account. Is there any way this can be ‘reset’ so that I can claim my old blog domain? Thanks in advance for any help!

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

I am pretty sure I deleted my blog in 2013. It is 2016 now, so I should be over the two year mark. Would it automatically become available when it has been more than 2 years?
