Claiming my site on Pinterest

    Hello,
    Pinterest is replying me that it has not found the HTML tag that I have added from the ‘tool’ section of my site’s back-end that is meant for Pinterest in a rectangular bar wherein I inserted Pinterest’s HTML tag to ‘claim’ my site on Pinterest.
    As there is no availability of SEO tool nor any plug-in facility at the back-end as it a free plan site, then where do I insert the HTML tag of Pinterest to ‘claim’ my site?

  • Hi there!

    I think the code you’ve added to your site may not be correct, it should look like this:

    <meta name="p:domain_verify" content=" numbers " />

    Where the word numbers would be replaced by a string of numbers unique for your site. The rest of the code would remain the same.
    Please go to https://www.pinterest.com/settings/ type in your site’s address and click at Connect. Then, copy the exact code you’ll be given and paste it in My Sites>Tools>Marketing Traffic.

    Let me know how it goes.

    I have the same issue. My version of WordPress 5.4.45 doesn’t show marketing traffic as an option, and I cannot upgrade. Is there any other way to access this location??

  • My version of WordPress 5.4.45

    This indicates that y’all are set up on the open source WordPress.org software. It’s different from what we do here at WordPress.com.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Help with that comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
