I previously had a website hosted through wordpress. I have the “site-archive” files on my computer. Am I able to upload these through wordpress under a new subscription, and use my site as it was a year ago with all of the different plugins I had, or will it only restore content and I will have to link everything again? Basically, I am asking if I can restore my website to its former glory without having to do anything other than re-uploading the archive files. -No, the website does not appear in my website list in wordpress. -No, there is no “Jetpack” backup. I only have access to the “site-archive” zip file. -The archived files are all from wordpress.

I wish I could speak to a support member about this, but I am hesitant to pay money, when I don’t even know if I will be able to restore my website.

If what you have is an xml file then I believe you will have the content (words, ie posts, pages and comments) of your old site but not any images and certainly not the theme/format/plugins. The best thing to do is to upload it to a free site here and see for yourself what the file contains.
