Clarification on domain mapping

    Hi there,

    We currently own a domain from Google Apps (EasyDNS), the site is currently on Wix, and we’ve rebuilt the site on WordPress. We would like the WordPress page to show up when the URL is typed in. Will simply purchasing the Domain Mapping from WordPress accomplish this? What steps need to be taken?

    If you own a domain elsewhere you should be able to point it to your WordPress.com domain by buying the mapping upgrade and pointing your nameservers to WordPress.com instead of to Wix.     Before buying the upgrade, though, contact your registrar and make sure if they allow this (it shouldn’t be a problem) and how you should go about changing your nameservers with them.
