Clarity on charges

    Hi!

I am looking to start a website to host the following :
    – A blog
    – Links to an Anchor podcast
    – Links to purchase an e-book
    – An alternative space that compliments/is linked with my Instagram account

I am not a business, but eventually hope to expand and grow into some form of one via the ventures of the podcast, ebook and blog. For now however, this is not my job and more of a personal choice to share and connect – although I have a small online presence on instagram in the parenting community and I always aim to stay to a certain ‘theme’ or ‘brand’ with hopes of the future opportunities which may come from it all.

From what I’ve said, would the best plan to get started be the personal plan, or should I go for the next one up?

I also wanted clarity on payments – say if I got the personal plan, would this be a charge of £36 for one year with a free domain, then a further £36 on renewal, plus the £16 yearly charge for the domain I have chosen? (So from the second year onwards a yearly charge of £52 in this example?)

    Thanks,

    Louise

  • Hi Louise!

You could start with Personal, although Premium would also give you the ability to upload videos, access to all of the premium themes for free, as well as live chat support, so, even though you didn’t mention it, it’s something to consider:

In any case, if you purchase a plan and then decide to upgrade, you would only pay the difference between the two plans (that difference will depend on how much time has passed from the original purchase).
    Here’s more information about that:

That is correct. Bear in mind that the price of the domain will depend on its extension (TLD); you can compare those here:

Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.
