Class blog: How do I hide student posts from the main content section?

  This is what I need to do:

  I have 50 students. They are contributors on the class blog. They each need to write 16 posts this year.

  My concern is that having them post alongside announcements and class information will make it difficult for the announcements to be seen–it will bury them. What I would like to have is that *only* the admin’s posts show up in the recent posts in the main content section, while the student posts can be accessed via a category custom menu in the sidebar.

  Any ideas? Can this be done? I’m assuming this is a line of code job.
