Classic editing

The classic editor is no longer available. We have tips for transitioning from the classic editor to blocks https://wordpress.com/support/switching-from-the-classic-to-the-block-editor/ and FAQs: https://wordpress.com/support/replacing-the-older-wordpress-com-editor-with-the-wordpress-block-editor/#frequently-asked-questions
And, if you really want to use something similar to the classic editor, we recommend sticking with the classic block: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
We also have some extensive documentation available at https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/
If you have any feedback on the new editor, we’re always looking for ways to improve it, so please let us know!
Thanks!

Hi folks, if your account has been changed to the new unified navigation, take a look at my earlier forum post concerning how to get back to the Classic Editor and see if it helps you: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/new-posts-layout-sort-confused/#post-3653904
You can read about the navigation change here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/unified-navigation/
*While the Classic Editor is currently available, in the long run you’ll want to give the full Block Editor or the Classic Block a workout as Staff have advised that the WordPress core development team do plan to phase this editor out in the future. The more you use it, the easier it will become. WordPress.com also published a guide specifically for writers and bloggers that you can find here https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor-for-writers-bloggers/
Hope that helps, but post back here if you have any other questions on this.
