  How can I delete the block editor and go back to the classic editor?

  By using the Classic Block, https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/.
  Mind the Classic Block is a limited version of the former Classic Editor and several functions are no longer supported. It also won’t work with the latest themes, https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-com-classic-editor-deprecation-faqs/

  Unfortunately, the installation you suggest seems to ONLY be in a ZIP format, and for some reason, I cannot convert it to be read, no matter which “converter” I’ve tried!

  Does WordPress have to be OPEN on my browser for it to work?
  Isn’t there a PDF or WORD download of this “PLUG IN”? OMG
  Why can’t these things be simple. I am in my sixties, have been online since 1999, but it seems there is always something to provde a hurdle or roadblock!
