Classic Editor

I can’t use the block editor on WordPress and want access to the Classic Editor plugin. What plan do I need to get it and am I going to bite the bullet and pay for WordPress only to have them pull the rug out from under me again and get rid of it, or will it remain functional in perpetuity?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For the moment you can still use the Classic Block – https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
However the Classic editor is very limited and isn’t compatible with an increasing number of . themes. It certainly won’t remain functional forever.
Instead I would advice you to learn using our block editor. You find usefull info an tutorials at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/new-to-wordpress-com-resources-to-get-started/

staartmees I pay for three WordPress dot com blogs. I REALLY dislike the block editor. I pay for Jetpack and my sites are myindigolives, arctanh, and gooplex All are wordpress dot com. Some of my themes are very old.
OP said there is a WordPress Classic editor plugin for .com blogs. I thought plugins were only for .org blogs. Is there a plugin or some way I can pay to continue using the Classic editor for my dot com blogs? Or do I need to migrate to dot org?
Why do you say that Classic editor won’t remain functional forever?!
- Is it going to be retired, uh deprecated?
- Do you know when?
- Please don’t take it away from us!
