  Hello support team. Please help me ASAP to go back to using the ‘CLASSIC” EDITOR. I don’t know how to use Block and I’m not interested. I need to publish an article and add photos. I’ve tried clicking on the plus + but still it doesn’t look the same. Since block I’ve copy/pasted this: https://wordpress.com/home/girlwhowouldbeking.com

  to get back to the screen I’m used to seeing . For the first time it’s not working. Thank you for your support.

  Hi there @intrigueimports, is it possible you’ve changed your Admin Interface Style in Settings>General to always use the Classic/WP Admin style? For some reason, that choice doesn’t give the option of using the Classic Editor when in the Posts or Pages dashboard.

  Head to your site’s Settings>General dashboard and make sure that “Default” is selected, if it isn’t already, and then click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

  

  If the Default style is already selected at Settings>General, then when you are in the Posts or Pages dashboards, you need to click the down arrow at the right of the “Add New Post” button at the top of the dashboard. You’ll then be able to select “Classic Editor” in the drop down.

  

  If that’s not what you’re seeing, or you need more help with this, post back here.

  @staff-naz06 et al: The drop down menu to access the Classic Editor on the “Add New Post” or Page button doesn’t appear on new account websites regardless of the Admin Interface style chosen.

  What is the plan for the Classic Editor availability on existing accounts going forward? Thanks.

  Did they ever answer you. I can’t use block editor at all because it does not show any of the site I created in Classic Editor. They may have updated the site but they forget older people are using it and don’t understand all this AI crap. I want my Classic Editor Back too. Let me know at (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thanks.

  Hi everyone,

  I understand the frustration, and I want to clarify what’s happening.

  • Sites created after February 5, 2025, no longer have the “Add New Post > Classic Editor” dropdown option.
  • Sites created before that date still have access to the Classic Editor as they did before.
