Classic Editor

  Please can someone on the Tech side please reinstate the classic editor on my Blog?
  I really cannot get on with the new blocks thing at all.

  Who do I contact to get this sorted please ?

  Hi, we were able to update that on our end. Please let us know too what trouble the block editor was giving you, so we can have a chance to resolve any issues before the classic editor is no longer available.

  I cannot get on with it whatsoever, it is clunky and poorly designed.

  I spend 50% of the time deleting what I have done and restarting. If I copy text and paste it, it then means I have to spend ages changing it to get it how I need it. Putting photos in I have the same problems.

  I do this blog for the ‘friends’ but I am seriously looking to move to another platform soon.

  I do other blogs for people too (not as a business but as a volunteer, I have a full time job outside of this). The new blocks versions means I have wasted so much time on it so it puts me of. So I’m seriously considering moving to other platforms for them too. The ones I use the classic editor on I can get on, get posts set up quickly and easily.

  It seems this is another ‘change for the sake of change’ that other companies do.

  I sat and worked out the other day that to build a php based website would be quicker than trying to update this blog which is pretty bad really.

  Please reinstate the classic editor for this blog and everyone to at least have the choice.

  Hi there,

  I have enabled the old editor for fqrcc.wordpress.com and kayreviewsbooks.wordpress.com. As for lensmeisterphoto.wordpress.com, I need to hear from the owner of it to be able to make the change.

  Thanks, I have set the Classic Editor as the preferred one for your site.
  I’d also recommend giving the Block Editor a second chance at some point as we will eventually stop supporting it:

  Thanks. I’ll look again.

  I can’t see me getting on with it.

  It’s dumbed down wordpress to be honest.

  I can HTML/CSS code as well a SQL, VBA and php … I prefer it.

  Wordpress got the nod when blogger became unusable and unreliable.
