classic editor

  dear happiness engineers

  the new blue looking post/page editor is really awful.

  the old classic one was good.

  is there a setting i can select to always use the classic editor? eg, i can be in my blog and see a spelling error and hit ‘edit’ and it will use the editor that works as opposed to the new funky looking but totally impracticable one that doesn’t.

  why doesn’t it work? well actually i don’t know but how is it i hit edit, arrive in the new ‘blue one” feel confused, hit update and all my formatting is removed?

  Hi Mel,

  You can use this link to always start a new post on your site in the classic editor:

  https://lovethepeopleyoumeet.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

  To get there from https://wordpress.com/ you can click on “My Sites” in the upper left, and then click on “WP Admin” in the sidebar to open the classic WP Admin dashboard. You can view your existing posts under Posts > All Posts (clicking the title of each post to edit it in the classic editor) and start a new post under Posts > Add New.

  Also, if you can share specific things that don’t work well for you in the new editor, I’d be happy to share that feedback with our team!
