  Can I use Classic Editor plug-in without upgrading to business plan?

  Hi there,

  Using any plugins on WordPress.com requires our Business Plan.

  That said, why do you want to use the classic editor plugin? All free WordPress.com sites still have access to the classic editor via the WP-Admin dashboard, and you can also use the classic block inside the editor for a similar editing experience to the classic editor.

  We recommend the latter, the classic block, as the classic editor (including the classic editor plugin) will not be supported indefinitely, and will eventually be removed and retired completely.

  How can I still use classic editor (via WP dashboard) if you would explain to me, please?

  Hi there,

  At the top of your pages or posts page, you can select to create a new post using the Classic Editor.

  I rarely enter that section, usually just go to “Add New Post”… I just hope Classic Editor will stick around in the background like that. :)

  We’re glad that’ll work for you for now! I’d recommend popping into the block editor now and then and sending feedback on any specific issues you have.

  That way, hopefully we can resolve the things that bother you before the classic editor is gone.
