Classic Editor "Parent Page" problem

  For the first time in 3 years of being online, i can’t edit today and now can’t progress my website. I know its due to the buggy new editor and i think due to being forced for the first time today by WordPress removing the ability to edit in the classic editor.

  Im using Safari, and have been previously using the old editor until today (1 july). Now forced to switch to the new editor, on Oxygen theme (wordpress.com), i can’t chose my parent page on the left hand side. When i’ve edited the page, all navigation is lost when i click publish, as the parent page field doesn’t have a proper drop down box to choose the right menu. Now the “parent page” choice box, is either blank, or suggests a random 20 or so pages as a parent (none of which is the right one). The button to change text colour also doesn’t work, but thats less serious than the navigation issue.

  Meant to say. I have tried it in both Safari and Firefox. Still the same problem. Also cleared cookies, refreshed, still persists.

  Hoping to narrow this down for you engineers looking at the problem. I see other users now reporting it.

  I just noticed, it would appear the problem only exists for nested pages 2 levels down from parent page and beyond. i.e level 2 pages and further down don’t appear in the drop down or options. 1 sub level does appear in the parent page box as an option.

  I can’t edit either. I was editing this a.m. and then now I can’t and it it not yet noon on July 1, 2015.
