Classic Editor v Beep Beep Boop
-
Dont you find it rather odd that after a year of development on Beep Beep Boop; Staff, Happiness Engineers, forum Volunteers, everyman and his dog tell us at every opportunity how to use the Classic Editor, rather than extolling the virtues of BBB or trying to persuade people to persevere with it?
It certainly doesn’t appear as if WP themselves believe in it…

I find it very odd indeed, too … but they say fact is stranger than fiction.
In WordPress.com’s defence, I understand they are working towards a unified stats, editor etc. I’m also led to believe that the BBB editor isn’t going to replace the classic editor, it’s meant to compliment it. I do think the BBB editor would be easier to use on mobile devices – so it’s not all negative.
In these support forums we’re seeing a lot of issues raised for things that are “missing” in the BBB editor. Personally I’m still using the classic editor, because it does everything I need.

There is no actual support issue in this thread which is posted into the support forums and that is why I tagged it for closure. -
P.S. In case you missed it you can read more about this and what it’s aimed to result in here https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2014/12/16/dashboard-update/

Why would you tag a thread for closure? What’s the point? It is a support issue. The new editor doesn’t work and people are wondering about how to carry on with their blogs despite this.
