Classic image gallery

  Hello folks,
  sorry for the n00b question, but it seems as if my site is cursed. You see, I need to display a bunch of pictures on a wp page. The entire thing should just be pictures, preferably with something like lightbox to open them in fullscreen. Sadly, I can’t seem to find any plugins that can handle the resolution and look like a normal gallery. I either get only half a picture displayed or I have to scroll down in order to see the thing, because it won’t squeeze itself into my screen. I’m sure someone around here has already made a gallery of sorts, could you please share your experience? ;)

  If so, we still cannot install plugins here, but you can certainly create a Gallery and display your images in a “lightbox”-type feature (Photo Carousel). See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/

  Snaps, the theme you have chosen, also has some tricks up its sleeve. Have a look at its Showcase page https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/snaps/

  Let us know if you need more help with that.

  If you are talking about a site hosted with 3rd party hosting and using the standalone version of the WP software, then what @pedger said. :)
