  I get so far with restoring Classic Ed, reach the Visual Ed option but cannot go on. All I am trying to do is continue my blog – merely a hobby, non-financial, free blog – in Classic Editor format, yet all avenues seem to end negatively.

  Hi there,

  Could you please share the link to the site you’re having trouble with?

  In case you are looking to switch back to the classic editor, please follow the below steps:
  Go to My Site ->Site ->Posts and create a new post.

  Then you can click the- icon top-right in the editor. There you should see a Switch to Classic option in the menu that appears.

  @grahamandrewsblog we’re retiring the Classic Editor so you won’t be able to switch to it in your dashboard anymore.
  You can use the Classic Block which imitates the Classic Editor:

  You can also keep using the Classic Editor within WP-admin:

  https://wordpress.com/support/editors/#classic-editor
