I want to switch back to the classic editor but there is no setting there to do it

Hi There
You are able to switch back to the classic editor within your WP Admin panel…

The link above should help direct you.

Hi folks, Hope you don’t mind me adding to this discussion.
There is a change in navigation being rolled out on WordPress.com. You can read about this here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/unified-navigation/
If your account has been switched to the unified navigation and you formerly accessed the Classic Editor through WP Admin, you’ll need to turn on the Advanced Navigation in your Account Settings>Interface Settings> Dashboard Appearance https://wordpress.com/me/account

While the Classic Editor is currently available, but in the long run, you’ll want to give the full Block Editor or the Classic Block a workout. The more you use it, the easier it will become. WordPress.com also published a guide specifically for writers and bloggers that you can find here https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor-for-writers-bloggers/
Hope that helps, but post back here if you have any other questions on this.

Thanks @justjennifer… this is awesome to note. I remembered reading about this, just forgot in this case.
Have an awesome day!

I wonder why this option (dashboard appearance) isn’t there in my account settings? We’re not far from April……

@petitpoisvideos FWIW – I don’t have it yet either. I believe WordPress.com slowed the rollout to give more time for feedback.
If your account hasn’t been switched yet, you can continue to access the Classic Editor as before in WP Admin, if that was your question. If it wasn’t, I’d suggest contacting support directly through your dashboard, since it appears you have an upgrade on your site.
