Classroom Student Blog Sign Up Issues

When my class of 30 attempts to login on to Worpdress, some of them get a screen that says the site has reached capacity and that they should wait a few minutes to log in. I need all of the students to be able to login at one time to make the lesson successful. Please help

Well its not one URL. They all have created individual WordPress blogs and when we all try to login at the same time some of them are prompted to try back in a few minutes.

Ok, you’re running into one of our security measures. We can’t drop it without opening everyone here up to the same risk, but teachers in your situation have had luck with having the students log in as they come into the classroom.
It’s just the simultaneous logging in within a very short window that triggers the security measure.

Is there any way to clear our IP address? I just had a few who tried to login and were unsuccessful at the start, and then were blocked out for the next 45 mins or so.

Yes, use TOR. TOR is IP anonymizing software that your tech people should be able to install on your computers. Be prepared for a big lecture though: it’s the kind of thing people use when they’re downloading movies, etc. But clearly there’s a need for it here.
