Clean Home – How to change 80% opacity setting in content area
-
My background was showing through on the new Clean Home theme when I used some images and they were set horizontally.
Sacred Path explained:
“The content area has a color of #FFFFFF (white) with an 80% opacity setting which means it allows some of the color from the background come through.”
I looked through the CSS original style sheet for the theme. Nothing popped out as an opacity setting. I’m not a CSS pro.
Can anyone tell me how to change the opacity setting? Thank you so much.

It’s in the background declaration for #wrapper, the last value, 0.8.
#wrapper { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); }You can even change the color if you wish by entering your own RGB values. The lower the 0.8 number goes (0.7 and down) the more transparent the background of the wrapper is going to become.

Thank you, Sacred Path. I would have never guessed that! I really appreciate your support. I am gradually learning more about CSS, but I’m still very much a beginner.
I will give it a try and see what happens. Hope all is well on your side of the island.
